Grace has a gold standard in snobbery and has hopes of becoming president of the local women’s institute, but needs to write a convincing speech. Aided by her four friends from different backgrounds they set about the task. Fiona, a downtrodden farmer’s wife, bearing gifts of homemade coleslaw; Jane, the village vamp; Pippa, who on the face of it appears to be an ordinary housewife; and Hazel from the local butcher’s shop, who may have a serious illness.
The interaction between this unlikely group gives moments of hilarity, particularly on the subject of their menfolk.
A slightly unusual play but one which we know you will appreciate and enjoy.
